Experience:
As a staff designer at the architectural/engineering firm of Symmes, Maini, McKee and Associates of Cambridge from 1979-81, I was involved in all phases and types of interior planning both new construction and renovation for commercial, institutional and residential environments. Emphasis was put on client relationships and problem solving to meet program requirements.
As the Coordinator of Facilities Planning for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts from 1981-1989, I was responsible for all corporate property development including long range planning, new space acquisition, design and build-out, as well as reorganization, relocation and refurbishing activities within the corporation's two million square foot envelope of space.
Returning to Symmes, Maini, McKee and Associates as Coordinator of Interior Design from 1989-1991, my responsibilities included the development and marketing of strategic planning and facilities management services, as well as maintaining the quality of interior design and space planning, design schedules, fees, and construction budgets.
As an individual practitioner since 1991, I now offer my clients twenty-five plus years of interior planning and development expertise. I stress the importance of quality design and planning to the successful use of the space, and strive to create not only uniquely designed interiors, but through innovative design solutions and comprehensive product knowledge; environments that are functionally sound and cost effective.
I can provide any and all interior design services from establishing space needs, present and future, to site location, space planning, construction documents, specifying and procuring of all finishes and furnishings, project management, and move coordination. As relocation or construction is a traumatic period in the life of any organization or individual, my objective is to relieve the burden of those myriad details necessary to facilitate timely and well-organized environmental transitions.
